The native honeysuckle
in a timely manner
bows to June
The heart of my vocational life is to bear authentic and courageous witness.

The native honeysuckle
in a timely manner
bows to June
Did not migrate South
for this slew of foggy days
so far from the sea
war clouds
obliterate
the crimson moon
the bunnies have returned
to decimate
the violets
thirty years ago
fading ivory dogwoods
still missed
haughty cherry trees
choose to ignore
the February forecast
Slowly around the lake
in search of
thumping acorns
The day before the day before November
a singular joy
a singular red maple leaf
a dark purple
bounty of fallen
mulberries
